What are the main objectives of your organisation?
To support those excluded from society to regain control of their lives and to rediscover a sense of purpose by providing home ,work, and engagement in the Emmaus movement
What is unique about your organisation?
Emmaus Gloucestershire pays its own way in the world through the work it does in collecting and selling donated goods, diverting them from landfill
What were the biggest challenges you had to face?
Our biggest challenge has been building an organisation whose culture reflects our values where everyone is respected. We think we are nearly there.
What are your biggest achievements to date?
We have four shops in Gloucestershire which provide work and purpose for people who were written off by society and who now prove their worthy and value every day.
How do you think you have contributed to the development of the sector?
We offer excellent customer service and constantly aim to improve.
What are your future goals?
We wish to expand our social enterprise to do more of what we do at the moment

With information, support, and of course, by lobbying for the sector at national and local levels
