Regional Roadshow 2017 Email Signature

The FRN Regional Roadshows coming to a town near you!

We are delighted to announce once again the dates for the FRN Regional Roadshows which will take place throughout November in eight different locations!

Check the table below to find your closest Regional Roadshows. You are welcome to attend more than one event; depending on demand and capacity at each venue, we may have to confirm your second choice closer to the time.

We want these roadshows to be your roadshows, and we want you to shape the agenda for your region. We have endeavoured to hold the events at different members' sites where possible, and with your input and that of our trustees, we will address and discuss your challenges and opportunities with interactive networking opportunities.

When sending in your booking form (download here), please do make sure you put down your suggestions and ideas of topics you would like to see discussed which are particularly important to your organisation whether it is funding, waste disposal cost, recruitment of volunteers or property rental.

Send in your booking forms early and help shape the conversation!

Once we have received your booking, we will send you the contact details for the assigned regional lead for your event (either FRN trustee, host organisation or FRN staff) so you can liaise in more detail with them

We are happy to announce these are FREE for members to attend (£25pp deposit required payable by BACS or cheque, refundable on attendance) with lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Non-members are welcome to attend for a small fee of £25pp.

What are the FRN Regional Roadshows?
They are a great opportunity to meet some of the FRN team as well as other furniture reuse charities or social enterprises in your region. As well as updating you on the FRN's latest activities and government and sector policies which might affect your organisation, it is also a chance to talk about practical solutions around staffing, volunteering recruitment, marketing and campaigning, supply and more.

What delegates said about our Regional Roadshows in 2016

Struggles that we are facing as an organisation are shared across the network, this gave us confidence that we are not alone in the issues we face. Felt supported by the FRN and instilled a lot of confidence in the FRN.

That there are plenty of opportunities out there if you know about them and are able to take them.

Thanks so much for another excellent opportunity for gathering, sharing and networking. The work you do on our behalf - please don't underestimate our appreciation.

Just a big thank you to the FRN team, I love it when you come to Scotland and I feel it is more important than ever in Scotland as I feel there are entities attempting to fill FRN's shoes!

Always good: FRN events always inspire!

FRN Annual Conference 2018 - 2-3 May - Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth

Where?

The Furniture Re-use Network Annual Conference 2018 will take place in one of Warwickshire's most state of the art conference venues at Chesford Grange Hotel. Nestled in amongst orchards on their 17 acres of beautiful rolling grounds, this country hotel is the perfect place to combine our conference with an opportunity to unwind allowing you to get the absolute most out of yourself and the conference. We expect you to return to your organisations, not only filled with plenty of new ideas, but also ready and raring to implement them. A health club, spa and elegant restaurant are the icing on this already very decorative cake.

Why?

The FRN Annual Conference is the conference for re-use sector professionals who wans to develop strategies using re-use initiatives, want to learn more from the re-use sector experts and those experienced in working on reuse. It is one of the highlights of our year bringing together professionals from the charitable furniture re-use sector as well as practical leaders and decision-makers in local and national government, retailers, waste companies, universities and research facilities along with the volunteers and shop floor staff who work at the 'sharp end' of the organisations.

Furniture Re-use Network members are charities and social enterprises working with social and environmental aims. They do this to reduce poverty by helping households in need access furniture, white goods and other household items at affordable prices. In addition, we support re-use charities in providing training and work placement opportunities for people who are socially excluded from education, training and employment.
