FRN CEO, Craig Anderson shares his thoughts following this year's annual conference

FRNConfMay2017SocialMedia-13317The coming together of delegates and speakers served as a shining example of how keen all those involved in the sector are to debate ideas, voice concerns, share best practice and collaborate on finding creative solutions to problems.

Craig Anderson, CEO FRN says:

"During the course of the two-day conference, a plethora of subjects was discussed, including what Brexit could mean for the sector, the socio-economic impacts of reuse and why reuse matters to the private and commercial sectors. With all the political and economic shenanigans taking place in the UK and across the globe, it was a welcome relief to be amongst others that can and do make a real difference.

The whole conference was inspiring and demonstrated the impact the reuse sector makes around the UK. Thank you to all our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and all who attended. All presenters and delegates make a difference to our society, and it’s humbling to run an event for people whose work improves the society and the environment in which we live.

From the feedback received, it is plain to see that the opportunity to network with other reusers is the over-riding reason people come to the conference year-on-year. Add to this the lure of inspiring content and relevant conversations, the conference appears to offer delegates an opportunity for personal growth and learning. This is a significant outcome and one we will continue to strive towards in future events.

It’s difficult to pick out a single highlight from the conference - you all gave such a broad list of what made it for you - these include; the round table conversations, the networking and making new contacts, a great facilitator, some outstanding speakers, the topical panel discussions, the great venue, the glittering gala dinner and awards, and, of course, the awesome singing waiters who seemed to knock everyone for six."
